Recent Zuri Kumarakom Review: "We stayed at 3 places in Kumarakom on our 5 day stay there, all in the same price range. Zuri was by far the best resort, not only in relative terms, but in absolute as well. It was immaculately clean, as if it was brand new - everything from the room, to the facilities (spa, gym, swimming pool), to the hotel grounds! Landscaping was amazing, with  at least 5 different palm trees and various types of medicinal plants. They had cardamom trees on the property, and the walks were pleasantly aromatic. The staff was extremely helpful and cordial, and really high class of service, we didn't feel any pressure to tip. The restaurants were good as well, and they had an Indian classical band and other performances each night at the Lemon Tree restaurant. There's a variety of activities on the grounds, including daily yoga classes, nature walks with the landscape engineer explaining the different plants on the property; an amazing spa with many different services available, both western and ayurvedic; sauna, steamroom and whirlpool; decent gym and an outdoors swimming pool; a bar lounge and several restaurants. There's also internet. It's well located - it's on the water, you can take a boat tour on the backwaters and canals (awesome fun!) You can take a hotel arranged taxi to the town for about 40$ roundtrip - the driver can drive you around or wait for you for up to 4 hours. In summary, an excellent and well priced luxury hotel in Kerala."
